Current Closure Map (Areas of Prohibited Access Marked with Red ‘X’)

——

10/10/2025 - TEMPORARY CLOSURE starting Monday 10/13 affecting Phase 1 (classic side) trails - expected through 10/16 (may change).

RFP informed the county that they will be hauling out some logs down on the Gorse road (SWAM PASS BYPASS) therefore Top Shelf to Upper Sour Mash and the road access off Blacklock/Lancealot is closed.

This means: if you ride "up" Blacklock & Lancealot to Sour Mash/White Lightning from the bottom of Lancealot/Dirty Dishes, you'll have to ride back down. You cannot cross the road to Top Shelf/Copperhead during this closure due to heavy equipment operating.

Sour Mash, White Lightning and Bootlegger can be ridden as an out-and-back so long as you don't cross brush barriers or any “Trail Closed” signage.

Hollerback & Jughead remain closed indefinitely.

——

10/1/2025 - Coos County notified us that we could reopen the Volstead (Phase 3) trails. There is a new “logging road” cut in on Prohibition/Blind Tiger that disrupts the trail. Prepare to reroute around these. Hangover, Outlaw & Speakeasy should mostly be unaffected. Volstead (Phase 3) trails will be closed again in the future for harvesting of timber.

Classic Trails (Sour Mash, Top Shelf to Bootlegger/Hollerback, etc.) have been reopened. Hollerback, Well Shot and Jughead remain closed on classic side. A brief closure will occur again so that Roseburg can haul out some logs in about a week and a half.
