  • Benefits: Not offered at this time, may be considered in future.

  • Location: Coos & Curry Counties, Oregon (remote-based with travel within region required)

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Plan and execute trail maintenance and construction projects in alignment with WCTA goals, land manager requirements, and funding timelines.

  • Grant & Budget Administration: Manage program budgets, track expenditures for grant reporting, and maintain accurate project matrices for future funding cycles.

  • Crew Leadership: Supervise and support paid trail crews, contractors, and volunteer work parties, ensuring work meets sustainable design standards.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for land managers, funders (Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation, Oregon Coast Visitor’s Association, Travel Southern Oregon Coast), and community partners.

  • Program Development: Monitor program effectiveness, utilizing data to drive strategic improvements and support the WCTA mission.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Sustainable Trail Stewardship: Proven experience in trail design, layout, construction, and crew management (IMBA/sustainable design principles preferred).

  • Grant Administration (Preferred): Comfort working within the confines of grant-funded programs is essential. Prior experience with grant writing and administration is highly preferred.

  • Project Administration: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple project sites, budgets, and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal ability to connect with diverse groups from government officials to volunteer dig crews.

  • Tech Proficiency: Comfortable with G-Suite, spreadsheets, and digital project management tools.
